The short version: your files are processed entirely inside your browser and are never uploaded to us. We have no accounts, no advertising, and no tracking analytics — which means there is almost no personal data for us to hold, sell, or leak.

1. What we do NOT collect

  • Your files. Documents and images you open in our tools are read from your disk into your browser's memory and processed there. They are never transmitted to our servers.
  • Account data. There is no sign-up, so we hold no names, passwords, or profiles.
  • Tracking analytics. We do not run advertising pixels, fingerprinting, or behavioural analytics.

2. What is stored on your device

To make the site work well, your own browser stores a small amount of data locally. None of it is sent to us:

TechnologyPurposeDuration
localStorageRemembers your light/dark theme choiceUntil you clear site data
Service Worker cacheStores app files so pages load fast and work offline (PWA)Until updated or cleared
IndexedDBCaches the AI model used by the Background Remover after first downloadUntil you clear site data

3. Third-party services

Some assets (fonts and conversion libraries) are delivered by content-delivery networks. When your browser fetches them, those providers see standard request data such as your IP address, under their own privacy policies:

  • Google Fonts — serves the typefaces used on this site.
  • CDNs (cdnjs, unpkg, jsDelivr) — serve open-source libraries such as pdf-lib, jsPDF and PDF.js.
  • Contact form provider — if you send us a message through the contact form, its contents (name, email, message) are handled by our form provider solely to deliver the message to us.

We do not sell or share any information with these providers beyond what is technically required to load the page or deliver your message.

4. Information you send us directly

If you email us or use the contact form, we receive the name, email address and message you provide. We use this only to respond to you. We don't add you to mailing lists or share it with anyone else.

5. Your rights (GDPR, CCPA & others)

Because we don't store personal data on servers, most privacy requests resolve themselves:

  • Access / deletion: there is no server-side personal data to export or erase. You can remove all locally stored data at any time by clearing site data for convertertool.in in your browser settings.
  • Objection / restriction: with no profiling or advertising, there is nothing to object to — but you can always contact us with questions.

If you believe we hold any personal information about you (for example, a past email), contact us and we will respond within 30 days.

6. Children

ConverterTools is safe for all ages precisely because it collects nothing. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

7. Security

Our primary security measure is architectural: files never leave your device. The site is served over HTTPS (TLS), and all code runs in your browser's sandbox. Still, no method of electronic processing is 100% secure — which is why we keep sensitive work local by design.

8. Changes to this policy

If our practices change, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage.

9. Contact
